Shore Ultra Lounge

It’s the first of July, and that means summer is officially in full effect. Yes, summer is that time of the year where it seems that everyone feels like partying, drinking and going crazy. In Southern California, summertime is more than one of the four seasons, it’s a 3 month event that starts at the beach and ends at a club every night. That is why at Club Central LA we see nothing more important than finding you the best spots that will make your summer unforgettable, as we put in work each week to bring you the best in nighttime entertainment. This weekend, CCLA decided to head back down to the LBC (Long Beach) to visit a venue that we had already covered as it underwent a complete transformation, just in time for summer. This venue was already known for being one of LB’s best as it had a positive, energetic vibe that everyone who visited enjoyed, but, as it is in life, things have to change, and with new ownership this venue was ready for a new look. So with that, Club Central LA says goodbye to Sachi Bar and welcomes the all new Shore Ultra Lounge, the brand new 21 and over, 8,000 sq ft venue that plans to take clubbing to new heights.

Shore Ultra Lounge begins it story in the early part of this year, when Brandon, one of the four creators of Shore Ultra Lounge came upon the location of Sachi Bar. From the moment he stepped foot into what would soon become his nightclub, he saw the great possibilities of what this venue could be and made an offer that shortly thereafter would give him the acquisition of Sachi. However, not wanting to own and run a business that was created and established by someone else, Brandon set out to create a new ultra lounge that would be his own as he assembled a team that consisted of himself, Alan, Lisa and Ryan, the former GM of Sachi. These four brainstormed for weeks on how to move away form the current theme and set a new identity that would sit well with the Long Beach nightlife and put them on notice. What was decided was to make a venue that incorporated the glitz and glamour of the Hollywood scene with the laid back mellow surfer lifestyle attitude. With that, the plan was set and Shore Ultra Lounge was well under way. On April 21, 2009, Shore Ultra Lounge came to life as it opened its doors for the first time as it hosted a weekend event that saw more than 1000 guests each night. Shore Ultra Lounge had arrived and did what it planned to do, get noticed. It’s been a little over two months since Brandon, Ryan, Lisa and Alex opened Shore Ultra Lounge for business and from the looks of things this venue is doing great, as it is on the right track to living a long life that will easily surpass it predecessor by offering better service, a better vibe, better entertainment and better drinks.

Parking

Located inside the Seaport Hotel, Shore Ultra Lounge offers a great quantity of free parking that is found all around the venue. Guests will never have to worry whether or not they will find a parking space as it can easily hold over 300 vehicles. In addition, they soon plan to offer valet parking for $4 for those who wish to arrive right in front of the main entrance, a nice service at a nice price. Parking at this venue is definitely a plus.

Entrance/Time of Operation

Doors at Shore Ultra Lounge are opened from 7pm to 2am daily, with fully stocked bar services and house music. The minimum legal age to enter any day of the week is 21years of age, security will be checking ID’s once you arrive in the front. The dress code for the this venue is a laid back chic look that allows guests to come in comfortable clothing as long as it doesn’t look trashy or cheesy. Cover charge is $10 on the weekend and free any other night, unless there is a special event or promotion. Yet, Shore Ultra Lounge does offer a guest list so that one can enter at a discount or for free; just make sure you arrive before the guest list expires. On Fridays the guest list ends at 11pm and on Saturday at 10pm. You can access the Shore Ultra lounge by visiting their website.

Venue

When visiting Shore Ultra Lounge, you may think you see no difference from its previous form as you enter the Seaport Hotel, but once you get closer, you will definitely see a change and a new look to this venue. On the outside, Shore Ultra Lounge has set up a huge projection screen that shows clips of surfers and waves, furthermore, they have a large lit up sign over the entrance that states their new name and the events they will be hosting. The change is even more apparent on the inside. As soon as guests walk in they will see the new décor and style of the Shore as it is given a Chic Hollywood/Long Beach upgrade styling that gives it the look and feel of a true L.A. nightclub. However, not everything has changed; they have kept some of features from before, such as having two separate rooms and an outside patio. The first room is equipped with a fully stocked bar, a DJ/Modeling stage, a huge dance floor and multiple VIP seating areas. The secondary room is just as nice as it has a very huge and accessible three leaf clover bar, a small dance floor, a DJ booth that is overlooking the crowd and a stripper pole for those who like to go wild, a game area and more VIP seating. The outside patio offers the escape from the inside by giving one a smoking area with a nice view of the night sky. One can also get a drink as the outside patio has a mobile satellite bar.

Music

Music at The Shore was incredible. If fact, we wouldn’t expect anything less as it was DJ Vid Vicious who was spinning the ones and twos for most of the night. The first time we met Vid Vicious, we got a full out show as he displayed his skills and talent to the crowd and had them jumping the entire night. For his encore, he mixed and matched a hit of jams that set the night off, including a custom mix he made for a fashion show that the Shore was hosting. You can count on the music at the Shore will be great as Vid Vicious is the resident DJ. If Vid Vicious isn’t enough, Shore Ultra Lounge has multiple guest DJ’s that are given the 2nd room. For the night we went, DJ RYNOROC was the one chosen to do his mixing. DJ RYNOROC mixed a style of top 40 and mash ups and even threw in a little MJ in honor of the King of Pop. The crowd went nuts with his style and the birthday party that was in attendance was pleased. DJ RYNOROC did what had to be done to make that Friday night a blast.

VIP/Bottle Service

If you like bottle service with great VIP treatment, Shore Ultra Lounge is the place to visit. They offer a wide selection of bottles that are sure to satisfy your needs. Bottle service starts at a price of $195 to $550 per bottle with Grey Goose Vodka being the most popular and Cristal Champagne being the most expensive. Regardless of which bottle you chose, you will be given a VIP section, all the needed mixers and a personal waitress that will attend to your and your guests every need. In addition, this venue has kept the vast selection of VIP lounges that total to the amazing number of 32 different VIP areas. Each VIP area is designed in a different décor of furnishing and lighting. Each section is made to accommodate each person's individuality. With so many VIP areas you’re sure to find the right one for you. Be aware though that the bigger the section the more bottles that are required to purchase. For the small section near the wall the bottle minimum is one, but for those big private lounges located in the 2nd room or the large corner rock star areas in the main room, the bottle minimum is two to three bottles.

Drinks

At Shore Ultra Lounge, serving the best drinks is as important to them as breathing is to us. The Shore prides itself in not only providing world class service but world class drinks that will have you dying to come back. Each drink is made by talented hardworking bartenders that look to give your taste buds a shock every time you take a sip. Certain drinks that seem to be favorites among the club goers is theOne Night Stand, a Chocolate dessert drink that tastes great and their house cocktail, The Shore Fusion, a drink that uses fresh fruits and premium alcohol to give an exotic tropical flavor to those who try it. Drinks will start $5 for beer and will go up to $15 for their premium mixtures. Shore Ultra Lounge also offers a daily happy hour from 7pm to 9pm that gives a two for one special. In all, if drinking is what you prefer when visiting a venue, you won’t be disappointed when visiting Shore Ultra Lounge.

Last Words

Club Central LA would like to thank all those who made our visit to Shore Ultra Lounge amazing. Both staff and management treated us with great hospitality. Ryan, Brandon, Lisa and Alex have created a venue that is a great addition to the Long Beach night life.

Dakota Lounge

Hey everyone it’s the beginning of a new week and you know what that means, its time once again for another exclusive Club Central LA lounge review. Each week CCLA goes out in search of the best in today’s nighttime entertainment in Southern California. This week Club Central LA cruised the streets of Santa Monica and valet their way into Dakota Live Music Lounge. Home of the Third Street Promenade and the historic Santa Monica Pier, Santa Monica is now home to a new venue where everyone knows your name and that will surely have its share of visitors in the coming years.

Dakota Live Music Lounge was created by Alex Fieglein and Sabrina Roark. These young owners are currently in love and engaged to be married soon (Congratulations). They wanted to create an atmosphere where everyone can have a sense of familiarity and feel like family with everyone. That is why you will find the owners, Alex and Sabrina behind the bar every night serving up drinks and striking conversations with patrons in order to get to know them better. This surely brings back customers as the owners are able to build a loyal customer base.

On November 29th, 2008, Dakota Live Music Lounge opened its doors to an eager crowd, with performances by Grammy nominated Janelle Monae the grand opening was a huge success. With only four months in existence, Dakota Lounge has been a smashing success having hosted Josh Duhamel and Fergie’s bachelor/bachelorette party with pin-up star Dita Von Teese performing a burlesque show for the couple, and ?uest Love took the DJ role and spun for the celebrity crowd. On other nights there has also been a performance by Matisyahu, Trevor Hall, Leon Mobley, Pimps of Joytime, Platinum Pied Pipers, as well as many others. Dakota Lounge is proud to showcase local talent and provide up and coming artists the opportunity to share their talents with the Westside public.

Parking

With Dakota Lounge being close to beach and on one of the busiest streets of Los Angeles County, it is a little difficult to find parking in the surrounding areas of the venue. Luckily for everyone Dakota Lounge does offer valet parking at a reasonable $7 per vehicle. If you don’t want to valet you could also try and find parking in the surrounding streets where meter parking is free after 6pm; just make sure you read the signs for any inconveniences.

Entrance/Time of Operation

Big bouncers will greet you nicely at the door verifying your age of 21 and over. They look a little menacing, but they are actually nice. Dakota Live Music Lounge has a standard dress code, meaning no gang attire, flip flops, etc… just look nice. The venue is open from Tuesday – Sunday from 7 pm – 2 am with a full menu served until 1 am. Various events are offered on different nights, which make the cover charge vary from night to night. These cover charges usually range from $5 - $12, which is still a very good deal if you are going to check out their live acts or simply go and dance on their Hot Butter Fridays.

Check out their calendar to see the different events being offered along with the various cover charges. Dakota Live Music Lounge does offer the opportunity to waive this cover charge for the first 25 people that rsvp before 4:00 pm on the requested day. This rsvp gets you in free before 9:00 pm. To rsvp for a certain day make sure to do it through their website at www.dakotalounge.com or call the venue.

Venue

As you walk into the 2500 sq ft venue, you notice the large fully stocked bar with a beautiful mural behind it being tended by the owners Alex and Sabrina. With beautiful hardwood floors throughout, the venue is split into two adjacent rooms where one serves as the lounge area and the other room has a stage where the live acts or DJs perform. Dark colored walls and red mood lighting adorn the lounge giving it a martini lounge feel where surf style meets modern Hollywood. The lounge area has one large VIP lounge with tan suede couches and dark brown leather ottomans. In the rest of the lounge area, there is leather seating along the walls where you can have a pleasant conversation with friends. In the adjoining room with black walls and windows with the Dakota Lounge logo, there are three big comfortable VIP booths with seating up to six people and table seating with leather chairs along the walls. This room also has a fairly sized space where people can dance or simply stand in front of the live stage and listen to the live acts that perform during the week.

Music

We visited Dakota Lounge on a Friday, which is when they have their special Friday event called “Hot Butter Fridays”. During this day of the week, the resident DJ, DJ Lady Sha is spinning music for all clientele to enjoy and dance to. Her seamless mixes of old school hip-hop with today’s top hip-hop hits brought back memories of when hip-hop first came on the scene. Every time DJ Lady Sha played an old school hit, the crowd reacted with cheers as to say thank you for bringing it back. Her constant energy was exuded through the speaker system as she thumped the Dakota Music Lounge and patrons crowded the dance floor to move to the booty shaking tunes. Let me tell you, she is one of the best DJs out there. If you want a taste of DJ Lady Sha, make sure to check out her website at www.lionessla.com and download some of her mixes for free.

On this particular night hip hop was the standard, but depending on the night you attend this venue, the music will range from pop-rock and indie rock to funk to reggae and soul. So it’s a combination of all these different genres.

VIP/Bottle Service

If you are interested in relaxing with friends in a VIP lounge or are interested in bottle service, Dakota Lounge has some of the most reasonable prices around. Bottle service prices start at $200 per 1 bottle per 6 people. You get 2 carafes of your choice of mixer (oj, cranberry juice, coke, sprite, ginger ale, tonic…) with every bottle. Their most expensive bottle is Johnny Walker Blue at $650 and their most expensive vodka is Belvedere or Chopin for $300. The most popular bottle is actually a tie between Skyy Vodka at $200 per bottle, and Grey Goose Vodka at $275 per bottle. Now for your choices of VIP seating there aren’t that many to choose from, but the ones they do have offer good views of the lounge and the live act stage. There are three VIP booths raised from the floor that seat comfortably six people and offer a great view of the stage. The VIP lounge is in the lounge section of the venue and accommodates private parties up to 50 people. This VIP lounge is perfect for birthday parties or any other type of celebration that requires a large number of people.

Restaurant/Bar

Apart from being a lounge and offering live acts throughout the week, Dakota Lounge is also a restaurant that offers a full menu until 1 am. The menu is a fusion of Alex’s favorite All-American comfort food influenced by Sabrina’s Hawaiian/Japanese background. Check out their website and you will find an online menu with their prices.

We had the opportunity to sample some of their drinks and let me tell you they were very tasty (Kudos to Alex and Sabrina). We tried the “Dakota Cosmo” and the “London Peach”. Even though a Cosmo is considered a girlie drink, I really enjoyed the sweet taste of the concoction with a subtle hint of alcohol that really hit the spot. The “London Peach” is another really great tasting drink that consists of Stoli Peach, apple juice, fresh lemon and simple syrup. This one was the favorite and I recommend it to anybody that visits this venue.

For those of you that like to get happy after work, Dakota Lounge offers “Happy Hour” from 7 pm – 8 pm nightly where you can get appetizers at half off and house wine, draft beer, well-drinks, and Alex and Sabrina’s Favorites for $5. Try their “Hope” cocktail, it is $5 and 100% of the proceeds go to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, a worthy cause.

Upcoming Events

April 16th
- Fundraising casino night for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Games include, Black Jack, Craps, Roulette, etc… And of course live music!

June 11th
- Celebrity red carpet charity event with non-profit group m.a.m.a. earth, to
raise money for Nourish the Children

Last Words

In conclusion, if you want to spend a pleasant evening listening to live music or catching a glimpse of some movie/tv stars, check out Dakota Live Music Lounge. You won’t regret it, their prices are reasonable and their drinks are full of flavor.

Club Central LA would like to give special thanks to Emi Foster for giving us the VIP treatment and the owners, Alex and Sabrina, for allowing us to attend their venue.

JC Fandango

Are you tired of going to the same nightclubs over and over again? Do you and your friends wish to find new venues that offer different environments and experiences than what you are normally used to, but the only thing stopping you from achieving this is that you have no idea of where to go? If that’s the case, Club Central LA is exactly what you’re looking for. Each week, Club Central LA heads out in search of all of today’s top nightclubs, bars, and lounges in order to not only bring you the best in all that is night time entertainment, but to give you a wide selection of venues as we know how diverse So Cal people can be. This week Club Central LA found itself in Garden Grove California to visit a venue that is sure to excite all you dance-aholics out there. This dance venue is JC Fandango, a 21 and over 9600 sq ft venue that lives and breathes by the beat of the Latin drum is one of the hottest attractions found in the Anaheim resort area and is becoming a popular location among the Orange County community.

History

JC Fandango began its journey in the night club scene long before it opened in Garden Grove in 2008. The beginning of the JC story actually starts and takes place in the year of 1974, when creator Jose Castellanos and his wife Ofelia realized after countless family gatherings, that they themselves should open their own venue as they knew they had the energy, the talent and most of all the determination to create an establishment that would succeed and run on all cylinders. Yet, this is not to say that Mr. and Mrs. Castellanos where not a bit hesitant to venture into unknown waters. However, after Mr. Jose Castellanos was passed up for a promotion in his then current job, he realized he had enough with his former employer and that would prove to be the push and spark that he and his wife would need for them to chase their dream of having their own business. The Castellanos first business venture was El Conejo Restaurant, a small fast food restaurant that offered tasty food at an affordable price. El Conejo Restaurant soon became a favorite as guests enjoyed the fast service and the tasty meals. This accomplishment encouraged Jose Castellanos to branch out and create another establishment. This creation would bare the Conejo name but would not be another fast food location as he and his wife wanted a traditional restaurant. In 1979, the Castellanos unveiled El Conejo Feliz. The restaurant was an instant success. It would seem that everything Jose and Ofelia did would have a positive outcome. El Conejo Feliz did so well under the management of Jose and Ofelia that in 1986, Jose got an offer for his restaurant and he gladly accepted to sell. This all lead to the creation of JC Fandango. After two successful ventures, the Castellanos where ready once again to take the plunge in a new establishment. What they wanted was to create a nightclub/restaurant so they could offer guests the best of both worlds. So in 1986, Jose bought a location that was perfect for what he and his wife had in mind. After months of designing, hiring and advertising, Jose and Ofelia introduced to Southern California JC Fandango. JC Fandango, just like all the other Castellanos’ creations was an instant success. This club quickly became known for being the perfect place for a night out as it offered live music, food and drinks. In 1992, JC Fandango would change forever as the passing of Jose Castellanos would rock this venue to its core. However, Hector Jose Castellanos and his brother, sons of the late Jose Castellanos would step in and ensure that their father’s creation would not fail. With strong work habits and determination instilled in them by both their mother and father, the Castellanos brothers took JC Fandango to new heights that would guarantee the success of their family owned venue and make their father proud. So far they have made their father proud JC Fandango has been in business for over 21 years and is still running strong as they have relocated to Garden Grove. The Castellanos are ready once again to embark on a new journey as they are in development of their second nightclub, the Mayazteca which will be located in Long Beach.

Parking

From the moment you arrive to this venue, you are treated with great customer service. JC Fandango offers guests the accommodation of valet parking at $5 per vehicle. This is definitely a plus for two reasons. One, the cost of valet parking is very affordable and two you don’t have to waste time looking for parking or walking a distance to arrive at the club’s doors. Moreover you don’t have to worry about their parking lot getting full as they are equipped with a huge parking lot that can easily hold more that 300 vehicles.

Entrance/Time of Operation

Doors open at 9:30 pm for all their nighttime entertainment. Currently, JC is hosting night club events every Thursday – Saturday but are soon going to add to their nighttime lineup. As of April 15 of this year JC Fandango will be hosting events on Wednesdays and Sundays as well. They hope with this five day line up, they can attract more clientele and gain more recognition among the OC night life community.

Once you arrive at the main entrance you will be greeted by security asking for identification to ensure that all patrons are at least the age of 21. If you forget your ID card or you are not at least 21 years of age, you will not be admitted, there are no exceptions. In addition to an age requirement, JC Fandango has a strict dress code that they will be enforced. The attire that can be found in the JC is either business casual or L.A. trendy. JC Fandango will not hesitate to reject you admission if you are dressed in athletic or gang attire. So to make sure clothing isn’t an issue, dress you’re finest as you will see many other club goers dressed up in semi formal clothing.

Cover charge to enter JC Fandango varies from night to night as they have different events that require different entry fees. The usual price range for admission is $10 - $20. However, JC Fandango does offer a guest list that will allow one to enter for free or at a discounted price. For more info on the guest list contact JC Fandango by phone or via email.

Venue

JC Fandango is a 9,600 sq ft night club and restaurant that is designed in a sophisticated Mexican décor that incorporates both that traditional and modern style of Hispanic/Latin architecture. Both the inside and outside of the venue is designed to have the look and feel of an authentic adobe house as is custom with many structures located in Latin America. In addition, its dim lighting gives a soothing relaxed atmosphere that is pleasant and enjoyable for all. The Hispanic architectural influence and beauty is also represented by the many portraits of Mexican art that are displayed alongside the many walls of the venue. Additionally to the lovely structural design, the lounge is equipped with a 1000 sq ft dance floor that is illuminated by state of the art lighting, multiple flat screens and seating areas for your enjoyment with two fully stocked bars with well mannered bartenders that are ready to serve you.

Music

Music for this particular night was very lively. Guests could not help but be drawn to the dance floor as they moved to the rhythm and beat of this venue as each DJ played a grand selection of music that consisted of Latin, 80’s and top 40. DJ Ghost started the night off on the ones and two’s, by playing a high tempo mix of today’s top hits. DJ Ghost fed the crowd the energy that would be needed for a night of fun and excitement as he added hard deep house bass to shake the crowd up. Up next, DJ Orlando kept the trend of electrifying the crowd as he played all the jams from the 80’s. With each successive track that DJ Orlando played, the crowd would scream and get wild as they heard the upcoming hit being played. Finally, DJ Chucky came on stage to finish the night off as he played the music that called to all dancers. Chucky started off by playing Salsa and Merenge. This led the JC crowd to pair up into couples and dance to the sensual sound of Latin music. To our surprise, the crowd was very diverse, as everyone was twirling and moving their hips to a song such as Suavamente by Elvis Crespo. In the end, each DJ did what was exactly needed to give the JC crowd a night of musical enjoyment.

In addition to DJ music, JC Fandango will soon have live band music in order to provide an even more energetic atmosphere. Furthermore, for those who wish to learn how to dance salsa music, JC Fandango offers classes with dance instructor Salamon Rivera.

VIP Bottle Service

For those of you who want a private section to celebrate a birthday or just have a secluded area for you and your friends, JC Fandango has VIP services to accommodate those wishes. Patrons are offered the opportunity to reserve V.I.P treatment by purchasing one of the many fine bottles they have to offer. Bottle service prices start at $200 and come with all the VIP essentials such as all the mixers needed and a personal waitress or waiter to serve you. Louis XIII de Remy Martin Cognac is JC Fandango’s most prestigious bottle at $150 a shot. The most requested VIP bottles are of course Grey Goose Vodka, Hennessey VOSP Cognac and Patron Silver Tequila. Regardless of the bottle you purchase you will be attended with the up most VIP standards. There are two main VIP areas to choose from and each is furnished with soft seating, comfortable spacing, accented lighting and a bird eyes view of all the action.

If you’re looking to shut the place down, JC Fandango is open to renting out the venue for private events. There is no set price, but JC Fandango is open to hear offers.

Restaurant/Drinks

Besides being a lively nightclub and lounge, JC Fandango is proud to present to the OC community Ofelia’s Mexican Cuisine; a delightful selection of traditional Mexican food that is made with the highest standards. Each dish is made with the finest and freshest ingredients around and is prepared by passionate cooks who enjoy what they do. Every meal is a Castellanos’ family recipe made by Mrs. Ofelia Castellanos herself and is traced back to the days of the El Conejo Feliz fast food restaurant. A dish we tried and recommend is the Paella, JC Fandango’s signature dish. This signature plate consists of rice, vegetables, chicken, crab, mussels, lobster and sauce and has a full amount of flavor as each bite we took was both delicious and filling; our complements to the chef.

If you are the type of person who enjoys a drink with a nice meal, JC Fandango has you covered as they make some of the most refreshing drink around. Just as their plates, the JC uses fresh ingredients to make their beverages. The drink of choice for many is the JC Margarita on the rocks. The JC Margarita has both a sour and sweet taste that will alert your senses and is perfect to have with a meal or by itself as you enjoy the music of the JC Fandango night club.

Last words

JC Fandango is much more that just you’re typical venue. It is a location that shows hard work and commitment of a loving dedicated family whose goal is to provide its clientele with a full experience of fine dinning and nightlife entertainment on any given night. So if you want to go to a place that will offer you an all day event, visit JC Fandango, you won’t be sorry.

Club Central LA would like to thank the entire JC Fandango staff for having us. Our stay was fun and pleasant. We hope to be back soon.

Elevate Lounge

Los Angeles California, the city of Angels and the home to the greatest nightlife in the entire west cost. Yes, Los Angeles seems to have it all, from bars and restaurants to lounges and nightclubs, no matter whom you are or what you like, this city will have something special for you. With so many great nighttime attractions to choose from, who better to show you the finest venues LA has to offer than none other Club Central LA, Southern California’s number one source for nighttime entertainment. Each week, Club Central LA brings you the best, as we introduce to you the hottest nightclubs, bars and lounges in your town. This week, Club Central LA decided to stay close to home, as we headed to beautiful Downtown LA to visit one of So Cal’s most attractive and unique venues. This location offers its guests a one-of-a-kind experience by elevating one over the gorgeous LA night sky for a view that will hypnotize both one’s mind and soul. The venue we are speaking of is none other than Elevate Lounge, the 21 and over 7000 sq ft upscale sophisticated lounge that has quickly become one of LA’s elite after hour’s locations.

Elevate began its humble beginnings in 2007, when the Downtown Entertainment Group decided to bring to the city of Los Angeles a fresh new idea that would revolutionize how Angelenos enjoyed the glitz and glamour of LA. What they had in mind was to create an ultra lounge that would offer guests the opportunity to feel the energy and beat of the city. They believed the best way to accomplish this was to position their new attraction, in a penthouse suite elevated 21 stories above the city streets in the heart of Downtown LA’s financial district. After months of extensive decoration and remodeling, Elevate was born. But before the Downtown Entertainment Group was ready to reveal its new creation to the general public, they started the life of Elevate with a soft grand opening that catered to private parties and small events. Elevate was seen as a dream for event planners as this new ultra lounge could be customized in so many ways. But with more and more success and popularity due to its location and design, the Downtown Entertainment Group could no longer keep their peace of paradise a secret and in late 2007, Elevate Lounge had a grand opening that did not disappoint as guests from all over waited anxiously in line to enter this innovative bliss in the sky. When this night came to a close, the Downtown Entertainment Group knew it had created another successful venture. In 2009, the Elevate Lounge is still rising as it leaves it mark in LA entertainment.

Parking

Anyone who has ever tried to find parking in Downtown LA knows that it’s nearly impossible to find a spot that is both convenient and affordable. When visiting Elevate Lounge, this is not a problem as this venue eliminates the hassle of finding parking in busy Downtown LA. Valet parking is offered to everyone for an excellent price of $7 per vehicle. Not only that, but their parking structure is located right next to their location making for quick and easy access from and to your vehicle.

Entrance

Doors open at 9:00pm Thursday – Saturday for all their nighttime entertainment. Once you arrive at the main entrance, you will be greeted by Elevate Lounge security asking for identification to ensure if one is of proper age. If you are not at least the age of 21, you will not be allowed to enter the venue. In addition, they have a strict dress code that they are not hesitant to enforce as they wish for their guests to look fashionable. The usual attire that can be found at this venue is Hollywood casual or LA trendy. So when visiting Elevate, make sure to look your best as you do not want to stand out for the wrong reason.

Cover charge can rage from no charge to $20 per person depending on the night and type of event. Unlike other venues, Elevate Lounge does not use either a guest list or promoters to attract clientele. Elevate strictly depends on its popularity and self advertisement to draw large crowds. The reason they chose to stay away from the relationship of venue and promoter, is that they believe that with promoters one gets quantity over quality when it come to clientele. That’s something Elevate does not wish to have as they prefer respectful, enthusiastic, pleasant clients that will get along with everyone; something that promoters are not able to do in the eyes of the Elevate Lounge management and staff. This is a positive for the fact that when one visits this venue, one only deals solely with the venue and not with the interest of a 3rd party that may not conform with your style or personality.

Venue

Once inside the Elevate Lounge, patrons will quickly be at awe in both the décor and scenery this venue has to offer. Decorated in the best of today’s contemporary design, this venue is dressed in a sophisticated LA fashion that gives this lounge a sleek upscale look that is visually appealing to all. The beauty of this venue is enhanced even more by the glass walls that allow patrons to have a breathtaking view of the downtown L.A. skyline. With dim lighting and the bright glow of the city light under the night sky, Elevate Lounge provides a romantic and soothing atmosphere that will leave one relaxed and calm. Furthermore, Elevate offers a unique indoor outdoor design that has not been seen in any other venue thus far. Simply walking from one side of the room to the other side you will unknowingly find yourself in the outdoor section of Elevate as 150 feet of sliding glass doors disappear into thin air. Finally, this venue is equipped with state of the art audio for magnificent sound, three fully stocked bars with hard working bartenders for all your cocktail needs, a 25’ x 40’ dance floor for your dancing pleasure and plenty of soft seating for your comfort. In the end, Elevate Lounge is a remarkable structure that must be seen and experienced. Located 21 floors above the ground, Elevate has taken the Los Angeles nightlife to new heights.

Music

Music for the night was upbeat and amusing as the crowd enjoyed the mix of DJ Sense. DJ Sense played a great selection of Hip Hop, top 40’s and hits from the 80’s and 90’s to ensure that everyone would have a great time. With each track that DJ Sense played, the crowd seemed to be more and more under his control as his style and talent could be heard as each song was fast paced and deep based. For this night, DJ Sense made sense, as the music never stopped nor did the dancing bodies of the elevated crowd.

VIP/Bottle Service

For those of you who enjoy the pleasures and luxury of VIP treatment, Elevate Lounge has exactly what you’re looking for. Elevate offers all its patrons the opportunity to enjoy the V.I.P lifestyle by allowing one to request and purchase bottle service. Bottle service begins from $255 all the way to $2500 per bottle and comes with your choice of liquor, all needed mixers, a personal waitress and free entrance into the venue. Louis XIII is Elevate’s most prestigious bottle with Patron Silver Tequila and Grey Goose Vodka being the most popular. Once you have selected the liquor of your choice, it is time to be seated in one of the several VIP areas Elevate has to offer. Each VIP section is decorated gorgeously as each area is dressed in a delightful décor of white soft couches, white marble tables and rich colorful lighting that changes throughout the night. Theses sections are truly stunning and one cannot go wrong with any section one is seated in as every area is spacious and centered in the middle of all the action. If VIP treatment is still not enough to make you feel like celebrity, you can always rent out this venue. As mentioned before, Elevate Lounge is seen as the ideal location for any private party or event. However, it will cost you a pretty penny to rent out Elevate as they have a starting average cost of about $100,000 per night. But as they say, you get what you pay for and if you want the best, this is it.

Takami Sushi and Robata Restaurant

In addition to Elevate Lounge, the Downtown Entertainment Group has created for all Angelenos an exquisite sushi restaurant named Takami Sushi and Robata Restaurant. Located just across the hall from Elevate, and just like Elevate, Takami is styled in an upscale sophisticated LA fashion with a tremendous view of Downtown Los Angeles. Takami Sushi and Robata Restaurant is open 7 days a week.
