Green Door

Each week Club Central LA heads out in search of today's top Night Clubs, Bars and Lounges in order to bring you the best in night time entertainment. As always, this week wasn't any different as CCLA headed out to a venue that is know for giving its clients the green light on having fun, as they provide great drinks and excellent entertainment. The venue we are speaking of is none other than Green Door. Green Door is a 21 and over 6000 sq ft venue that is known for being one of Southern California's top versatile venues as they provide great entertainment Tuesday through Saturday. However, before Green Door became the popular venue that it is today, it was a popular restaurant that went by the name of Sterling Steak House. The Sterling Steak House was one of Hollywood's best kept secrets, as this restaurant was committed to providing its guests with the best in fresh ingredients and customer service. However, the owners of Sterling Steak House wanted to do something different. They wanted to create a place that was like no other. What they had in mind was to create a venue that was not only a restaurant but a nightclub that also served as a hot spot. That is when the Sunset Entertainment group decided to change their restaurant name from Sterling Steak House to Green Door. Since this move, the venue has increased in popularity and is one of the first venues to offer this versatility. Today, The Sunset Entertainment Group is seen as one of Hollywood's pioneers in the Nightclub/Restaurant entertainment.

Parking

Parking is always an issue in Hollywood, with so many attractions in this city it can sometimes be a frustrating task to find accommodating parking near the venues or establishment of your choice. If Green Door is where you plan to visit, then you're in luck as this venue is right next to a public multi-level parking structure. This parking structure is happy to house all Green Door customers as they charge a reasonable price for parking that ranges from $5 - $10. In addition, Green Door offers Private VIP parking for all those would feel more comfortable having their vehicles looked after by valet services. Parking VIP at Green Door will cost from 10 to 20 dollars depending on which night you go. Whichever parking option you choose, you can't go wrong, both offer accommodating access to the venue.

Entrance

Doors open at 8:30 pm, Tuesday-Saturday. Once one arrives at the main doors one will have to provide proper identification to make sure the age requirement is met, which is 21 and over. In addition to an age requirement, Green Door has a dress code policy that requires one to look stylish. Hollywood Casual is usually the proper attire to wear at this venue. There is normally not a cover charge to enter the venue. However, this may vary from night to night as different promoters have different events that may require an entrance fee. On a regular night there is no cover charge with some exception however, if you do not have the appropriate attire you may have to pay as a penalty for not following this venues requirements.

Venue

Unlike many other nightclubs, Green Door is an exclusive escape from modern Hollywood as this venue drips with aged decadence. Fashioned after a 16^th century French Chateau, the lounge features glittering crystal chandeliers, plush love seats, stunning antiques, and a Parisian-style covered patio with an outdoor stoned fireplace.

Patrons will feel captivated by beauty and essence of this venue as it slowly sets the mood for the entire night. In the Lounge one will be able to access the pleasures of three bars stocked with the best, multiple seating areas, private sections, and an 300 sq ft dance space. The lounge room is just the place you want to be if you're the type of person who likes to mingle and interact with interesting people. In the Patio, guests will get the full feel of an outdoor haven as this area is well spaced, warmed with heat lanterns, a well equipped bar and a romantic fireplace. The patio is excellent if you want a relaxing break from the madness that is the Green Door Lounge. No matter which part of this venue you stay in, the vibe and feel of the Green Door will surely be apparent.

Bartenders

If you like to grade a venue solely based on how well their drinks are made then Green Door will get an A. Green Door is staffed with an excellent team of bartenders who have over 24 years of experience collectively. Each bartender does their absolute best to provide you with the most satisfying drinks they can make. We put the Green Door bartenders to the test as we requested one of their senior mixers to generate us a drink off the top of his head. With a couple of liquor mixes and shakes, this bartender created us a unique drink that was made just for us. After a few sips and savoring the mixture, Club Central LA came to the conclusion that these bartenders are the real deal. So if drinks are what you like, visit Green Door.

Music

Music was great. The DJ for the night, Mr. White, played an incredible mix of music that consisted of every genre imaginable. DJ White made sure that his selection was upbeat and electric as he did not want one single person to leave the dance floor. In the end, DJ White did his thing as Green Door rocked 'til the wee hours of the morning.

VIP/Bottle Service

In Hollywood, it's all about bottle service and VIP treatment. A venue that does not provide stylish private sections or a wide range of bottles to choose from will surely lose it credibility with the Hollywood party scene. At Green Door, this isn't a problem. Green Door offers a grand variety of both stunning VIP sections and premier bottles. Bottle service starts at a price of $300 per bottle; this includes your choice of liquor and juice or soda. If you feel like being a big spender you can always buy Green Door's most prestigious bottle, a Dom Perignon from 1966 worth $3000. Yet, Green Door wants every one to have the opportunity to buy a bottle and live the high life by offering a two for one bottle service special ..ed bottles every Thursday night. Once you have your bottle, you and your guest are ready to sit in your VIP section. But what section should you strive for when you Visit the green door? In our opinion, there are two VIP areas that are the Green Door's best; these VIP sections will surely catch your eye. The First VIP area is located by the far back wall as you enter the DJ dance room. These areas are lifted on a platform that is elevated from the floor. This VIP section gives a view of the entire dance floor as well as most of the lounge. You and your guests will have a wonderful time in this area as you will be seating in velvet love seats, surrounded by a stunning décor that is influenced by 16^th century French design and dim lighting for that ever so tranquil feeling. The next VIP section that you will definitely take pleasure in, but is not known by many, is the Green Door Suite. This VIP section is design to give one all the privacy in the world as it is isolated from the public. This area is equipped with beautiful seating, a surround sound system that is linked to the DJ and a wide screen TV for your enjoyment. This room is absolutely perfect for those who want a private get together and have a party within a party. However, regardless of the bottle one buys or any surrounding sections one chooses to spend their night in, Green Door is sure to provide you with great service.

Restaurant/Live Entertainment

In addition to being a nightclub, Green Door is also a restaurant and live entertainment venue.  Green Door serves a menu of California-French fusion cuisine such as Free Range Chicken Dumplings served in Balsamic Soy Reduction and Coconut Shrimp served with Mango Chili Dipping Sauce. In addition to serving individual dishes, they offer a buffet that gives one the opportunity to taste the menu. The price for the buffet starts at $30 per person up to $60 per person, depending on how much of the menu you wish to sample

After a fine meal, stay and check out the live entertainment Green Door has to offer. For instance, Wednesday nights are JAZZ night, a night where musicians come and play live and set the mood with the cool sound of jazz. This combination of fine dining a live entertainment is what Green Door is all about, that is why as mentioned before, they are seen as pioneers in the world of versatile venues in Hollywood.
