Are you and your friends tired of doing the same old routine week after week? Do you all feel like you need an escape and break from both the traditional club and bar scene? This week, Club Central LA headed out to Hollywood once again to visit a neighborhood bar that is said to sting you with fun and have you feeling as if you've left the country. So what is the name of this mystery getaway you ask? Well without any further ado, Club Central LA would like to introduce to you L-Scorpion, a 2,500 sq ft venue that is unlike the traditional and will have you in awe as its style and grace is all its own. What makes L-Scorpion so different from other Hollywood bars? To find that out we must start from the beginning, before there was L-Scorpion there was Rock-A-Bar, a local bar that blended in with the Hollywood scene and was known in its own time as a great hangout. In 2004 The Rock-A-Bar owner's where ready to sell and move on but who would take the challenge of buying a bar when the Hollywood bar scene was all the same? The person who took the challenge and bought the Rock-A-Bar was James Sinclair, the same man who made Element the Hollywood power house it is today. Mr. Sinclair bought the Rock-A-Bar because he had a vision of creating a true neighborhood hangout that broke away from the traditional Hollywood bar feel and look. Mr. Sinclair wanted to offer clients an experience that was unique and could not be found anywhere else, so he decided to design his new acquisition with influences from the Mexican culture by styling his venue after a true Mexican bar. L-Scorpion opened in 2004 and is still going strong as its entering its 5^th year of business and is still the most profitable venue per sq ft.

Parking

Parking is always an issue in Hollywood, it doesn't matter what time you visit or what day you go, parking in Hollywood will give you a headache. Luckily for those of you who wish to visit L-Scorpion, parking is found right around the corner. L-Scorpion is located next to a parking structure that is happy to house L-Scorpion clients' vehicles. Be aware however, that L-Scorpion has no affiliation with this parking structure and cannot be held accountable for any damages done by vandalism or accident. Parking at this structure will cost $20 per vehicle, as that is the standard Hollywood rate. If the price seems too high, one can always try their luck at finding parking on the street. Yet, the chances of one finding satisfying parking near L-Scorpion are close to zero

Entrance

Doors open at 6:00 pm seven days a week. Once one arrives at the door one may be carded if a door man is present, if not one may walk in. Yet, don't think just because you have entered L-Scorpion without being carded that you will be able to buy a drink. Bartenders will ask you for identification to prove that you're of legal drinking age. There is no cover charge to enter unless there is an event that is organized by a promoter. The dress code policy at L-Scorpion is basically come as you are as L-Scorpion wants clients to feel comfortable about buying a drink without the need of dressing up. The closing time for this bar depends on the night and crowd. If a packed house is present this bar will stay opened till 2 am. If not, it may close earlier.

Venue

Inside L-Scorpion, one will quickly see how different this bar is when compared to others. As mentioned before, L-Scorpion is designed and influenced after the look and feel of Mexican bars with a hint of Goth. For those of you who have seen the movie, "From Dusk 'Till Dawn", it looks something like that, only more modern, upscale, better lit and without all those blood sucking vampires. In the main area one will have access to a huge fully stocked bar that is nearly as long as the room itself. This bar is equipped with all of your favorite premium liquor bottles. However, tequila is what this bar is known for. With over 160 different types of tequila this bar is sure to have your brand or taste. In addition to their massive bar, L-Scorpion offers a 32 inch flat screen TV for those who wish to watch a sporting event, small seating sections near and around the bar, and booths that are located in the back room. On most weekends, L-Scorpion usually offers live music as they have a DJ perform a mix of top 40 and house. On other nights, they will play a house made selection that they play on their sound system. L-Scorpion is also much more that just a bar; for those who are looking for a great location to have a small personal party, L-Scorpion may be the venue for you. L-Scorpion offers Mexican cuisine for all type of parties or events. L-Scorpion is also known for serving American cuisine for those who request it. Bartenders

If you wish to visit L-Scorpion for their drinks, you won't be disappointed. L-Scorpion has some of the most attentive and talented bartenders in the Hollywood bar scene. One bartender in particular that deserves recognition is Sammy Hernandez. Sammy has been in the L-Scorpion family since the time it opened and has set the bar for all other bartenders that work there. Sammy is known as the tequila master as he knows practically every brand and can inform you about the quality and taste of every single one of them. In addition, if you ask Sammy to make a drink you better believe he'll know how to make it. Even if you just make it up, Sammy is sure to do his best to satisfy you and make your stay pleasant.
