Element

Hey everyone, It's time once again for an exclusive one-of-a-kind Club Central LA Night Club review. Each week Club Central LA heads out in search of today's top Night Clubs, Bars, and Lounges in order to bring you the best in night life entertainment. This week wasn't any different as CCLA headed out to the entertainment capital of the world, Hollywood California, to visit one of this cities' most elite night clubs. The venue we visited is known for having all the elements that club goers want and need, such as great music and colorful drinks. Yes, this nightclub surely seems to be a crowd pleaser and that is why we found it necessary to bring this venue into the CCLA line up. The night club we are speaking of is none other than ELEMENT, the 21 and over, 10,000 sq ft venue that caters tothe party needs of the stars. Before Element became the power house it is today, it started as an idea in the mind of club owner James Sinclair. Sinclair wanted to create a nightclub that differed from other venues as he wanted to create a true dancing nightclub where people actually dance and not just stand around. Sinclair started his vision by buying the location of the former venue Blue Mondays, a popular venue in its own right. James Sinclair re-designed the look and feel of the ex-Blue Mondays' venue with a laid back design that is not usually the Hollywood club manner. Sinclair received skepticism from fellow club owners as they told him that they believed his venue would not be a grand success. In 2004, James Sinclair proved all his critics wrong as he threw a successful New Year's Eve grand opening that introduced element to the world. This event quickly put Element on the map as one of So Cal's top venues. Four years later, Element is still running as strong as ever as it looks into the future of 2009.

Parking

Parking is always an issue in Hollywood with a different club/bar practically in every corner. Club goers and bar hoppers usually have a frustrating time finding parking close to the venue of their choice. Patrons will not have such a problem as this venue is located next to two different parking lots. Be aware that these parking lots are independently owned and are not associated with Element Nightclub. Nevertheless, these lots are happy to house the Element clientele. The price to park at either one of these parking lots is $20 dollars per vehicle. The price for parking may seem high, but realize that it is right next to Element, which is a convenience and you have to expect it since it is Hollywood. You also have a choice to park on the street.

Entrance

Doors open at 10:00 PM Thursday – Sunday. However, time is subject to change as this venue hosts an array of events that require earlier arrival. Once you arrive at the main doors, you will have to provide identification to meet the age requirement, which is 21 and over for most nights, except on Thursdays, which is 18 and over. In addition to an age requirement, Element has a moderate strict dress code policy that requires one to look fashionable. Hollywood casual is usually the appropriate attire to wear when visiting. So for your time and others, make sure you fulfill both the age and dress code policy.

The cover charges vary from night to night as different promoters charge different rates and have different events. On a regular club night the cover charge is usually $20. However, Element does offer a guest list to help reduce or waive the fee of entrance, depending on the promoter for the night. For more info on guest list visit the Element website.

Venue

Upon entering one will quickly notice the difference in décor and design between this night club and other Hollywood venues. Element has pulled away from the traditional Hollywood look by having only moderate Hollywood glamour influences and focusing more on a simple relaxed feel. Element believes that a venue should worry less about its interior decoration and be more concerned about fulfilling the needs of its clients. That is not to say that the Element venue is unattractive, in fact, the styling and furnishing of this venue is quite beautiful and with its excellent colorful lighting, Element looks as good as or better than any other night club. On top of a décor that is its own, Element is equipped with multiple rooms that will surely please the many different types of clients that visit this elite night club. In the main floor, one will be granted access to a huge fully stocked bar with prompt bartenders, a vast dance floor that depending on event and night can range from being 800 sq ft up to 3200 in size and a massive performance stage that has hosted the likes of Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears. This room alone has given Element the rep as being a true entertainment dance club. If you walk down the hall you will arrive at Element's 2nd room. The second room is dedicated to all house and fast beat party goers. ..However, big things come in small packaging as this room is big enough to hold a 400 sq ft dance floor, a DJ booth, amazing light show, and a nicely size bar that has all your drinking needs. Finally, if you wish to catch a smoke or just want a break from all the fun, Element has a patio that is located in the back of the venue. This patio has a nice cool feeling as blue lighting illuminates ..the surrounding area. One can also get a drink as the patio is equipped with a small bar.

VIP/Bottle Service

For those who want a private section where one can hang out with his or her friends, Element has you covered. Element offers all its patrons the opportunity to reserve VIP treatment by ordering bottle service. Bottle service prices begin at $250 all the way to $1000 and come with your choice of liquor, juice or soda. Don Perignon is the club's most prestigious bottle. VIP seating is located throughout the venue as Element has four different VIP sections. Be aware that curtained VIP sections require different bottle limits. For the stunning VIP section located on the platform one must reserve two bottles. These intimate sections are equipped with plush seating and have a great view, as these sections are raised off the floor. The "Big Table VIP" sections on the other hand require at least a 3 bottle minimum requirement. These sections are right in the thick of things as they are located by the dance floor and the DJ booth. However, bottle service requirements can change as different promoters set different prices and bottle limits. For more info visit the Element website.

If you're looking to shut the club down for your own personal party, Element allows people to rent out its venue. There is no set price and club management is always interested in listening to offers so feel free to contact the Element staff.

Music

The music for this night was incredible. The crowd was really into the mix and beat of each DJ as they all played an excellent selection of music that captivated their own style. In the main floor, DJ Michael Basic started things off by playing a mix of upbeat Hip-Hop and R&B that brought the crowd to life. Next, the Aniki brothers brought a shock to everyone's system as both DJ SPINHER and DJ BENNY
BLANKO played an electrifying mix of trance and house that showed everyone the true meaning of brotherly love. Finally, DJ SPLYCE shut the club down as he played a MIX of Top 40's and classics that finished the crowd off and had them exhausted as the night ended.

Management and Element

Club Central LA would like to thank the entire Element staff for having us for the evening. Element showed us what the Hollywood treatment is all about. In addition, we would like to thank Collin Thalkin and J Wolf for making our visit at Element both possible and enjoyable. Both of these men work long hard hours to make Element the power house that it is and they both merit special recognition. Collin Thalkin is a hard working general manager that truly cares about this venue; he has been there from the start as he knows what it takes to run a successful business. That is what led Collins to bring J Wolf into the Element family. J Wolf has been in night time entertainment business for many years as he worked for Toast, a promotion company that is known for planning grand Hollywood events. Now J Wolf will use his experience to bring Element to the next level as he has a vision that will scare any other venue. So with that, if you ever want to visit a venue that will show the true definition of a dance club, visit Element, they'll treat you right.

Once again Club Central LA would like show its Gratitude by giving Much Thanks to all the parties involved in making our visit to Element pleasant.
